Ok, first off, I have to say that you people have been wearing my server out! The hits on both Meadowood and Greasy Creek have been soaring the past few days. If you experience slow performance, I deeply apologize and want you to know that I am working to speed things up as are the great folks at BlueHost.com who host my site(s).

Second…it has arrived! The 3 boxes containing the raft have gotten here! Wanna see ‘em?

Ok, I know that you are all out there saying ‘Big whoop, a bunch of boxes.’ but hey- I’m HAPPY to see them! Plus, I am supposed to document the assembly and part of the assembly is the unpacking and if you are unpacking then there are boxes to unpack, right?

Anyway, after much thought, I have decided that I will not open the boxes yet… I am going to wait until Saturday morning and I will clear out a space in the garage and unpack and assemble it all in one chunk. I want to see just how long it will take and I need to clear a spot in the garage. I haven’t even got the trailer ready yet; I have to go to Martinsville on Monday to pick up the steel I’m using for the tongue on the trailer and then I have to build a platform for the raft to rest on, but that is ok- the raft can wait in the garage until I’m done. I am sure crawling over it will get old quick and motivate me to get the trailer done…that and the fact that until I get the trailer done, I can’t do a whole lot with the boat…well, I could throw it on the truck and take it to the pond…….
